Schedule & Display

Add a new display device

Connect a new TV, Raspberry Pi, or computer to your account so it shows up in the Active Displays list and receives content updates.

3 min

Before you start

  • A device that can run a web browser (Smart TV, Pi, PC, tablet)
  • Internet connection on that device
  1. 1

    Power on the display device

Connect your TV, Raspberry Pi, or mini-PC to power and to the screen via HDMI. Make sure the device has internet access (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) before you move on.
Your device HDMI + internet TV / monitor
  2. 2

    Open a browser

On the device, launch any modern web browser — Chrome, Chromium, Firefox, Edge, or the TV's built-in browser. Anything updated within the last couple of years should work.
    Chrome Firefox Edge Safari
  3. 3

    Go to the launch URL

    In the address bar, type:

    https://www.displaytechnology.tv/new-version/signin.php
    https://www.displaytechnology.tv/new-version/signin.php Launch Display
  4. 4

Sign in with the Launch Display card

Use the orange Launch Display card (not the blue Dashboard card). Enter your credentials — the device registers itself with your account on first sign-in.
Add a new display device — Step 4
  5. 5

Verify it appears in your dashboard

Back on your editing computer, open the dashboard and look at the Active Displays list in the left sidebar. The new device should appear with a green dot and its IP address within a minute.
Add a new display device — Step 5
  6. 6

    Set kiosk mode (optional)

For unattended displays, configure the browser to auto-launch on startup in fullscreen:

Raspberry Pi: install Chromium and add @chromium-browser --kiosk https://www.displaytechnology.tv/new-version/signin.php to ~/.config/lxsession/LXDE-pi/autostart.
Smart TV: bookmark the URL on the home screen.
Windows / Mac: create a Chrome shortcut with --kiosk <URL> and add it to Startup / Login Items.

Tips & Common Issues

  • Each device counts as one display against your plan limit. If devices refuse to register, check your plan usage.
  • Devices show as "Unknown" with their IP until you rename them — click the device in the sidebar list to give it a friendly name.
  • If the new device doesn't appear after a minute, sign out everywhere and back in — this re-registers cleanly.
  • Old devices that go offline stay in the list. Clean them up by removing them from the Active Displays list.
