Before you start
- Logged in to your dashboard
- At least two playlists or menus to rotate between
-
1
Open the Schedule page
In the left sidebar, click the violet Schedule button. The schedule editor opens, listing any rules you already have. -
2
Click "Add Rule"
At the top of the rules list, click Add Rule. A new blank rule expands inline, ready for you to fill in. -
3
Pick what to play
Open the Playlist Type dropdown and pick what should run during this rule:
• Playlist I–V — any of your five content playlists.
• Menu 1 or Menu 2 — one of your menu slots. -
4
Choose days of the week
Tick the boxes for the days this rule should apply. Common patterns:
• Weekdays — Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri.
• Weekends — Sat, Sun.
• Every day — all seven. -
5
Set the time window
Enter a Start Time and End Time in 24-hour format. For a breakfast menu you might use06:00to14:00. Overnight windows are supported — e.g.22:00to06:00for late-night content. -
6
Enable the rule and save
Make sure the Enabled checkbox is ticked, then click Save. Disabled rules stay in the list but don't affect what plays — useful for seasonal schedules you'll re-activate later. -
7
Add more rules to cover the day
Repeat the steps above for each time window you want to cover — e.g. Menu 1 (06:00–14:00), Menu 2 (14:00–22:00), and a Late-Night Promo (22:00–06:00). Each rule is independent and can be toggled on or off at any time. -
8
Launch a scheduled display
On a display device, open the Launch Display URL. The display checks the schedule about once a minute and automatically switches to the correct playlist or menu when each window starts.
Add?debug=1to the URL to see exactly which rule is currently winning.
Tips & Common Issues
- •Overlapping rules? The narrower window wins. So a Happy-Hour rule (4–7 PM, Mon–Fri) overrides a broader Weekday rule (9 AM–9 PM).
- •Times use the display device's local time. Make sure your TV / Pi has the right timezone before you trust the schedule.
- •Test by adding a rule that's active right now for a few minutes — you should see the switch happen on the display within one minute.
- •For simple 24/7 single-playlist setups you don't need any rules at all — the display defaults to Playlist I.
